Pain Points and Opportunities
Repositioning Ion’s Value. Clients see Ion merely as a portfolio aggregator, which underutilizes its potential. Integrating it with Open Finance and Advisory transforms Ion into a comprehensive financial management hub, expanding its strategic value and relevance.
Improving Access to the Aggregator. Currently, the aggregator is hidden within an accordion at the top of the screen, creating friction in the user journey. By repositioning it more prominently, we unlock the opportunity to enhance usability and empower clients to easily compare and analyze their portfolio composition.
Strengthening Client Autonomy. The absence of feedback for errors (e.g., connection issues, token insertion, outdated portfolios) limits the user experience. Enabling self-resolution flows turns this pain point into an opportunity to reduce friction, build trust, and deliver a seamless digital journey.

In the prototype experiment, I queried users about their preferences between the two versions. The focus was to understand the reasons that would influence their choices.
In the conclusion of the analysis, it became evident that users appreciated a fusion of the features from both prototypes.
